Illinois Department of Employment Security Job Readiness Workshops, in partnership with C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library is presenting a series of Job Workshops. Please register at the Circulation Desk.

ORIENTATION
Wednesday, May 19th, 3-5 PM
Orientation session for the workshops that will be held every 2 weeks for the next three months. This workshop will cover the necessity of attending, what to expect from workshops, and what facilitators expect from job seekers.
RESUMES
Wednesday, June 2nd, 3-5 PM
Which format is best for you? What information will make you the best candidate? What is the main purpose of a resume? Everyone will begin writing their own resume.
HOW TO LOOK FOR WORK
Wednesday, June 16th, 3-5 PM
Do you look where employers advertise? How do you approach the job market?
INTERVIEWING SKILLS PART 1
Wednesday, June 30th, 3-5 PM
Do I have soft skills? What is the interviewer looking for? How do I know if I am making a good impression? Do I have a shot at this job? Do’s and Don’ts will be discussed.
MOCK INTERVIEWS PART 2
Must attend Part 1
Wednesday, July 7th, 3-5 PM
Job seekers must ‘Dress for Success’. Wear clothing that would be appropriate for your mock interviews. Facilitators will act as employers and will interview job seekers. Study and practice before your interview. Mock Interviews will be evaluated during class discussions.
